All of our coaching courses and the administration thereof have been redesigned to adhere to government guidance on COVID-19. You can find out more by looking at our COVID-19 Risk Assessment and our Coach Education COVID-19 Changes documents.
UPDATE 22/9/20: We have implemented the following layout for courses and a limit of 16 participants for courses involving adults: COVID-19 Update – Coach Education
UPDATE 13/10/20: Government guidance states that educational courses can continue to go ahead in all areas of England (no matter the COVID alert level), and also within Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland even through times of enhanced restrictions. If a course location is subject to extra restrictions, we will continue to run these unless events outside our control mean we need to rearrange e.g. the venue temporarily closing. If you want to know more about a specific course before booking, please email [email protected].
Please note that British Dodgeball no longer recognises UKDBA coaching qualifications as of January 2021. This is because the sport’s integral rules and skills have changed significantly in recent years. From January 2021, affiliated clubs and companies using coaches without a British Dodgeball Level 2/3 qualification to lead sessions will not be covered under our public liability insurance. We have implemented a transition period lasting until September 2021 for clubs and affiliated coaches and companies to update to the new minimum deployment requirements.
Should anyone who holds a UKDBA coaching certificate wish to complete a British Dodgeball coaching award, then they may do so with a 50% fee reduction upon providing proof of certification. To arrange this, please email a copy of your certificate to [email protected].
Should those holding British Dodgeball company accreditation and those who coach at a British Dodgeball member club have a UKDBA coaching award, they may access a Level 2 qualification for free before September 2021 or access the online Introduction to School Dodgeball course to act as a refresher upon providing proof of certification. To arrange this, please email a copy of your certificate to [email protected] and explain your situation.
